La‘i‘ōpua 2020
Bringing our Kona community together for collaboration, inspiration, and knowledge sharing.

Lā Kūʻokoʻa
Today and every day, we join our lāhui in honoring the legacy of Hawaiian Independence Day. In 1843, Britain and France formally recognized the Hawaiian Kingdom as a sovereign nation.
At Laʻiʻōpua 2020, we honor this legacy and our aliʻi with gratitude by uplifting culture, strengthening our kaiāulu, and creating spaces where our ʻohana can thrive for generations to come.
Vision
A vital West Hawai`i community where local families lead the way. Together, we can thrive.
Mission
The mission of Laʻiʻōpua 2020 is to identify community needs & coordinate programs for Native Hawaiian homesteaders and those residing in the greater Kona community.
